At 15, Bob Keen snuck onto a film lot, setting the stage for a 40-year career in visual effects. Now, this "Hellraiser" veteran teaches UNCSA students to blend innovative storytelling with boundary-pushing tech, preparing them for the industry's future.
The UNCSA School of Filmmaking will continue its Symposium guest artist series with an evening featuring film director, producer and writer Susan Seidelman. The free event, which is open to the public, includes a screening of Seidelman's cult classic "Desperately Seeking Susan," followed by a conversation about her new memoir moderated by Filmmaking faculty member Michael Miller.
UNCSA and the Winston-Salem Symphony welcomed the first class of a prestigious graduate orchestral fellowship earlier this month, strengthening a vital bridge between two major cultural institutions in the region and providing invaluable opportunities for UNCSA student musicians to perform with a professional orchestra and engage in community outreach activities as part of a robust program providing full scholarships and stipends.
